Auma Public Relations Manager, Harald Kötter said that more than 70% (368 total) of all trade fairs planned for 2020 in Germany have been cancelled or postponed, while underlining that cancellations have serious macroeconomic consequences. According to calculations of the German Trade Fair Industry Institute, the cancellation of trade fairs cost 21.3 million Euro in Germany in 2020; 176,000 jobs were at risk and 3.43 billion Euros in TAX revenue was going to be an income for the country.
